The Most Liked Case: Accident Investigations
This year, the most ‘liked’ case on LinkedIn was the Case of the Exploding Gasses. This case was an accident investigation where an oil refinery worker was a victim of a dangerous explosion. He unfortunately did not survive. RGH Investigations handled this fragile case with professionalism and care. We surveyed the workplace and interviewed employees. We carefully uncovered the cause of the accident. Work injury cases / surveillance were popular services in 2024. Work injury cases don’t always have to result in a serious outcome, RGH Investigations work with all levels of accident investigations. Click on the link to read the article in more detail.
Another type of accident investigation involves auto accidents. RGH Investigations were also hired to track down a person who caused a chain reaction auto accident. It’s a common case since speeding is an everyday occurrence in Chicago. We rebuilt the case using witnesses, video, reconstruction and photography. This helped us determine who was driving the car. We tracked the individual down and served the subpoena. Click on the link to get more of the details.
Foreign Surveillance
RGH Investigations saw a lot of foreign surveillance or subpoena serving cases. In one case this year, we searched for an American citizen who recently left for the Netherlands. They were to be served with a subpoena. If there’s a lawsuit on an American citizen in the USA, and the citizen crosses the border to any EU country, that lawsuit remains. RGH Investigations were able to track them down and serve them in Europe. We used specialized tools to determine their location, along with social media and the help of a Danish private investigator. Within our own borders, foreigners come and work an array of hands-on jobs. Being a truck driver is a good entrance job for new immigrants. It’s easy to rent a truck and take shipments. However, there is an increase in accidents involving truck drivers. This is due to the traffic laws in America being different from laws in other countries. RGH Investigations looked into a case involving a foreign truck driver who hit a car with 5 passengers, with only 1 survivor. We surveyed through Illinois, California and New York for the runaway driver. We eventually found the driver, and the driver was served the subpoena.
