RGH Investigations has worked on a variety of cases this year. From subpoena serving, to missing persons, to even a legal surveillance case with a strange weather phenomenon, it’s been an interesting year. Come sit down with your cup of coffee and enjoy the recap of RGH’s most interesting cases in 2023.
The Most Liked Case
Surveying the Dust Storm was the most liked case in 2023 with the highest number of ‘likes’. In this case, RGH Investigations was called for a legal surveillance for a dust storm that happened on I-55 in Illinois. The event resulted in 40-60 cars that slid off the road or crashed into another car. RGH was called to gather information from the people involved in the major pile up. This information was later used in lawsuits. We found out the dust storm was so instant that many drivers failed to anticipate it and ended up losing visibility and crashed.
A Sought After Service: Process Serving
This was not a case, but a service that had a lot of interest. Are There Advantages to Using A Private Investigator For Process Serving? is the article that gained a lot of interest from our readers. Process serving is when documentation is delivered by hand quickly to a recipient, usually by an attorney. Many people try to evade an attorney, so a private investigator such as RGH steps in to help. In this blog, we recommend hiring a private investigator, as we have great tools to help locate the recipient…quickly.
This year, RGH Investigations handled many process serving cases. In February, we worked on a case where a businesswoman, who owned 4 properties across America, kept avoiding being served. We eventually found her on Facebook (when will people learn). She made a post overlooking a beach, and we were able to track the beach, and ultimately, her location.
In October, we talked about another case of process serving. An elusive nurse was hiding from the attorney trying to bring her to court. She was to be a witness. As her job depended on her loyalty to the company, she made a great deal to hide away from the server. RGH stepped in, and found her hiding in the back of her car on the way to dinner. When she popped out from under the back seat, RGH investigators served her the paperwork.
A Range Of Emotion
Sometimes, private investigation can uncover intense emotions. We helped a sneaky cheater who even crossed our professional boundaries in When Does Employee Surveillance Go Too Far. In March, we unraveled a case about a granddaughter trying to take her grandfather’s 5 million dollar estate. In The Case Of The Dentist And His Sneaky Daughter, RGH Investigators were swept up in an emotional family situation. This case had the most tricks and turns of 2023. RGH acted quickly to ensure the estate was in the right hands, and the grandfather did not continue to be poisoned with morphine by a family member!
